Hi there!
I'm the artist and designer behind Hex & Hue. I’m headset on creating real, diverse & accessible artwork for real people.
My artwork is inspired by botany, color/light interaction & the tattoo industry. I focus primarily on traditional mediums such as acrylic & oil painting with the occasional digital painting. When I’m not working on artwork you can find me crocheting small creatures or staring into the moon.
I’m learning the ropes behind being a vendor & artisan at local markets. Connecting with Richmond & the art scene is my mission for 2025. Currently, Im focusing on reading more. My current reading list is “Daily Painting - Paint small and Often to Become a More Creative, Productive, and Successful Artist” by Carol Marine and “Twelve Centuries of Japanese Art from the Imperial Collections”. Contributions by Hirabayashi Moritoku, Ohkuma Toshiyuki, Ohta Aya, James T, Ulak and Yuyama Ken’ichi.
If you would like to keep up with my life & (mostly) daily paintings, you can follow my blog!
